Peihan wears Bally

Filed under: Media, Outings — elyseeteo @ 4:01 am

HA! Just kidding.

Too many things to blog.

So I will just blog what I can remember.

Last friday was the opening of Bally’s store in Singapore. Takashimaya (beside gucci).

So Happily, I went. Thanks to this very famous (by now) friend (cause all my other friends know you le wor). ha.

Sorry people, no pictures from the event. Cause we were there to be photographed. Not to take photographs.

hahhaa. so haughty. ha.

It was gorgeous. Actually just like any luxury brand launch you see in SATC or Devil wears Prada.

Champagne.

Canapes: Foie gras(my favourite!! I served this for my little party), Smoked salmon with cheese in a crepe(Love it. I served this too), Smoked duck with lycee, Lobster tart, and other yummy yummy stuff!

Dessert: Strawberry cheese mousse, blueberry puff. etc.

I love the food!

And the service is excellent! Very attentive butlers.=)

Pretentious? I would say so. All we really have to do is to poise for pictures. Which was strange for me, as I am not in the fashion industry, but heck. I just smiled for the camera, with people I do not even know (or I just met 5mins before) and just act as if we know each other.

But the food is totally worth it!

In my opinion though. Bally women is not really fantastic. Bally men is rather yummy!

Afterwhich. We left to dig into one of my top 20 favourite food!

Secret recipe’s lamb!

Lovely lovely chenwei treated me=) I suddenly really enjoy growing old! ha.

All I can say is: Good food makes me very very happy indeed!

Oops. Didn’t mean to write so much about food! =P *cough*

Saturday, shopped a little with sissy. Then during the night. three lunatics did aptitude tests for some banks which I shall not name. Quite fun.

For the maths part, the other 2 fellows are better than me='( Cause I’ve lost the ability to use a calculator. But I was pleasantly surprised that my critical reasoning (verbal portion) is rather good. ha.

Thanks to gmat.

Some random pictures…

I luurve my friends for spoiling me through these difficult times (my birthday).

Some of you I did not take pictures with are Bernie and Jiajin and of course Huihui.

Oh. I went for a bimbotic session with delicia. And I had a bunny’s tail on my head=) ha.

Then the client decided to give us a treat, so we were down happily at Harbourfront centre, and we check out Vivocity on our way back (yah rite. ha). The haze was badddd.. Can’t even see Sentosa clearly. But today’s haze seems much better! I can finally see four seasons again from my office.=)

We are having Deepavali, Hari Raya all in a go. Plus a taoist celebration. Multi-cultural indeed! Must be a real treat for tourists now.

So, I worked on Monday the Deepavali day. and had a traditional Indian lunch at little india.

Yesterday while studying, I gobbled up one can-ful of lycees.

Do you think I am too old for Tinkerbell??????=|

A private jet event

Filed under: Media, Outings — elyseeteo @ 1:02 am

Millionaire asia 1st year anniversary.

Yup, that’s what I was up to, before the farewell event.

it is a private party to celebrate the millionaire asia magazine’s birthday.

And it was combined with an exhibition of private jets. Where the guests could view which jet they want to purchase for their private fleet of jets. Guests also include the brunei high comissioner, some datuks etc.

Well. Yes. Its way out of my league for now. But nevertheless I had a great time taking pictures with the jets.:-)

And my partner prefers to remain anonymous. *rolls eye* ha.

In case you guys think that I am a millionaire.. Heh. Sorry to disappoint. I am invited as a plus-one by… an ex-bf.

it is incredible how rich these people are. It makes me think what the heck some people are boasting of, and teaching people to get rich?! One porsche is like a molehill as compared to private jets.

The best part. And the part I was most impressed is that: there wasn’t any actresses in sight? I was expecting snooty rich men to be accompanied by pretty actresses or models. But no. Most came with their wives. *so sweet* they all looked like they have a splendid family life.

there were models for the luxury watches show. But no one even bother to look at them, except *cough* for me. In my defense, they are all really tall and pretty ok??!?

so, I hereby conclude that the really rich people aren’t shallow at all. Its just the kinda rich ones that are spoiling the image of rich people. ( I used to hold this prejudice for very rich people. But I still can’t accept women who love for money)

None were too flashy, well except their beautiful cars. One came with a hawaiian shirt. Another came with jeans, rolled up shirt and a ponytail to boot. That’s micheal ma by the way, and I remembered that I read somewhere that he’s gay. But sorry to disappointed, my partner is a close friend of his and his sweet wife. Ohhh.. I love his wife! Cause *cough* she said that I am very very very pretty *cough* ha. Shallowtivity!

I was meeting people who were the bosses of my friends’ bosses. Like muvee’s owner. Micheal said muvee’s in 16 countries. I was already in love with the company before I saw the CEO!

and out of everyone in the world. I am the most surprised to meet the biggest european client of my company. Someone who knows my company, and knows how big it is. Ha. Priceless!

But but. This placed my french under stress-test! The adorable looking couple decided to converse in french. *sweat* *phew*

I think I did well;-)

but ok lar, I am not tempted by rich men. *phew* ha. I don’t really need a private jet.

oooh.. I feed on love.:-)

so say we all

Filed under: Culture, Media, reflections, thoughts — elyseeteo @ 2:13 am

Finally.

Here’s my national day mime.

so say we all

I grew up in traditionally chinese family, with a traditionally malay home address. I Have a taoist and a buddhist temple, a church, a mosque within 10mins walking distance from home.

I grew up eating 10cents artifically flavoured ice-sticks. And has since progressed to eating 3.60 per scoop ice-creams.

my childhood evolves around five-stones, zero point, country eraser games (which I am rather good at). and my spare time are spent going for enrichment lessons like : ballet, piano, organ, zhongruan, chinese dance, abacus, speech and drama, choir, art and craft, chinese calligraphy or anything that my mum thinks that its for my own good. The rest of the spare time are filled with tuition.

When we still had bus tickets. Me and my friends would fold little hearts out of the bus tickets. Or fold little stars out of straws. Time wasting usually took place in Macdonalds over large cokes and fries.

I never fully knew the meaning of our national song. Neither do I know why the heck were we made to sing that malay song during children’s day. my malay, hokien and teochew are of around the same level. even though I took english n chinese as my first languages. After one year working in Paris, the only language I could speak fluently on the flight back is not english nor chinese. It is Singlish.

I love my country. And although sometimes I might seem indifferent to singaporean news (even during the elections), I always find myself defending singapore fiercely when I am with foreigners.

I wish I am able to vote, but I never had the chance to. and probably will not have a chance to do so in the near future.

I love good food. And I am willing to go out of the way to get good food. Be it from boon lay to geylang for youtiao, mian xian, or from paris to london for authentic laksa.

I am Teo Peihan Janine.
I am a true blue Singaporean.

so say we all. So say we all.

——————————————

Do your national day mime too!

Happy Birthday Singapore. And I love you.
