I was walking by the beach.

And I saw this adorable pair of sisters playing.

And I thought to myself.

A lovey-dovey-sugary-warm-and-fluffy christmas, says the sour old hag

Filed under: Innocence, Love, reflections, thoughts, Updates — elyseeteo @ 8:25 am

Yesterday night, I was doing my routine skincare and bodycare. (=P)

So I casually switched on the TV, and I got sucked into this fabulous show.

Oh, perhaps you all might not find it amazing. But i just love the simplicity and the warm feeling that this cute movie eludes.

Mr Deeds
Plot summary (googled):
When Longfellow Deeds, a small-town pizzeria owner and poet, inherits $40 billion from his deceased uncle, he quickly begins rolling in a different kind of dough. Moving to the big city, Deeds finds himself besieged by opportunists all gunning for their piece of the pie. Babe, a television tabloid reporter, poses as an innocent small-town girl to do an exposé on Deeds. Of course, Deeds’ sincere naiveté has Babe falling in love with him instead. Ultimately, Deeds comes to find that money truly has the power to change things, but it doesn’t necessarily need to change him.

So. Babe (a big city girl) pretended to be a simple girl, who doesn’t take alcohol (wow.. doesn’t that sound like me?!? I wonder if the alcohol part is really that unbelieveable?!) She was out to cheat Deeds, so as to get the first hand tabloids.

After which she realised she fell for this simple minded small town guy. (deeds is not really a poet as described in the plot summary, he is more like… hmm.. His dream is to write greeting cards, and his greeting messages kinda all sucked)

I don’t know if you all might agree with me. But there is something irresistable about simple guys with a good heart.

As simple as a piece of white paper.

But sadly. This kind of men/people will not survive well in the society that we live in. Man’s natural instinct to the survival of the human race, is to become defensive, cynical, skeptical.

Still. I will love to meet.

Someone who is so purely, naturally innocent, inside. Even if he is smart, intelligent and shrewd on the outside.

And I once thought that he is one…
Oh, can I complain? This Christmas is so full of lovey-dovey-feel-good movies, in the cinemas AND on TV.

Please give this sour, old hag a break can!?!?!??!

You lovey dovey people can jolly well cuddle and make your OWN MOVIE.

WHY do you have to make the whole world watch lovey-dovey-sugary movies with you?!?

JUST because your stupid lives evolve around your love, doesn’t give you the right to be so self-centred and assume everyone feels the same way!

So said the sour, old hag.

(in case you don’t know, this is a joke ok? This is probably my first christmas since 1997 without a warm cuddle ok?!? =( )

Christmas day.

I received:

“Darling je t’aime”

And I have this feeling.

That my next christmas.

Will be a lovey-dovey-sugary-warm-and-fluffy christmas. =)

Ending with me all curled up in someone’s embrace.

Oh.. hmmmm…

Have to find someone first, I guess?

Where are you, someone? 😉

BTW, who wants to switch places with me???

I am open to bribes!=P

Its really boring in a female fitting room you know? =P

Happy Feet! and THE cold

Filed under: Innocence, Outings, reflections, thoughts, Updates — elyseeteo @ 6:08 am

Watched happy feet yesterday! With Vera, Alex and Jack=)

AND after the movie, while waiting at the traffic light, this adorable little girl (who watched happy feet too) started dancing like Mambo!

SOOOOOOoooo cute! And her dad joined in a little at the end!

The movie resonated with me and vera. Especially after this person commented to us that we were anti-social on saturday night.

Hmm.. just that we did not want to join in with the majority. It made us anti-social?

Like Happy Feet was ostracized because he ccouldn’t sing like the other penguins. and also because he loved to dance.

I couldn’t say I wasn’t affected at all by that comment. I wouldn’t be, if I do not really know the commentor. But in this case, I know him. so. Yup.

Hence, I asked some friends: Am I cold?

Me: u know someone kinda reprimanded me that i m too cold on sat. ha
Zuzu: u cold ??
Zuzu: cannot be la
Me: yah lor
Zuzu: cold n peihan just don’t sound right

Me: do u think that i m cold on e outside + warm inside OR warm on the outside+cold inside?
Shifu: why do you ask that question?
Shifu: I think you are generally warm on the inside, and can be warm on the outside.
Shifu: Outside depends pretty much on how close you are to a person, or how well you know a person.
Shifu: relax lar… you’re a great person. 🙂
Me: blah. does wonders for my self esteem:P

..and another person whom I don’t have the msn history….

My sis rolled her eyes when I asked her that question.

AND ha. I asked Chenwei the same question today, and she widened her eyes and asked:

Are you joking?!?!

She thinks I am not cold=)

I was so touched that some traces of tears came to my eyes.

*sigh* I love my friends lots lots!=)

And I promise that I will do my best to be here for you all=)

ARgh. getting emotional again.

Ha. I am the luckiest gal in the world!

(oh, *reminds self to be nicer to mommy*)

Having said all this, I will still take that comment as a feedback. Cos I believe certainly he has his reasons to say that.

Also. Please forgive me people. I am poor and have a bad memory. Birthdates are extremely difficult for me!!!!!! Sorry in advance if I forgot any of your birthdays!
